Gunmen Kidnap Anambra Archbishop, Wife, Son, Four Other Clergies

Unknown gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a popular Archbishop in Anambra State, Uka Uka Osim of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star.

It was learnt that the cleric was kidnapped on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 together with his wife, Anne Osim, son, Roland Uka Osim, and three other people, also clergymen of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star.

Other three priests also kidnapped were Azuka Ochu, Moses Okafor and Anderson Akwazie.

According to reliable reports, they were travelling to Awka, capital of Anambra State, on evangelical duties when the armed men accosted them.

Their abduction was confirmed by the administrator of the spiritual organisation in Abia State, BCS, Bishop Denis Onuoha.

He said four days later, the abductors had not reached out to anybody.

“We are very worried but we are assured that the Almighty Father who they worship and work for with total devotion will help them out,” he told newsmen.
