TOPIC: THE ONENESS OF THE SAINTS WITH CHRIST: A KEY TO HEALING
SCRIPTURE: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Romans 12:5.
It has been confirmed that light is the killer of darkness. Anywhere light exists, darkness dies automatically (Gen. 1:1-5, John 1:1-5).
One reason why there is abundance of the darkness of sickness and affliction in the lives of people today is the absence of Scriptural light concerning Divine health.
When a person is ignorant of the insights (lights) in Scriptures concerning Divine health, he is likely to fall victim to sicknesses and diseases.
Therefore, it is very important to understand the basis for Divine health from Scriptures.
The saints’ membership of (or oneness with) the Body of Christ
A major basis for living and walking in Divine health is the saint’s membership of (or oneness with) the Body of Christ. This means, the child of God is a member of the Body of Christ; the child of God is a department of Christ’s Being. The child of God is a part of Christ’s Person.
Beloved, from the very moment you gave your life to Christ, you became a department of Christ’s Being, and a member of His Body.
Romans 12:5 says,
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Also 1 Corinthians 12:27,
Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
Knowing that you are one with Christ will not permit in your body what is not permitted in Christ’s Body.
Ephesians 1:22-23 corroborates this,
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Beloved, always remember that being a child of God has delivered you from ill-health.
Refuse to permit in your body what is not permitted in the Body of Christ, because you are one Body with Christ.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your Word to me today. I reject any sin and sickness in my body on the basis of my oneness with Christ, in Jesus’ Name.
