Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Oluwasanmi David Oludipe, professionally known as Spyro, has revealed that his 2018 collaboration with Afrobeats star Davido on the remix version of his song 'Funke' brought setbacks to him.

‎Acccording to the 'Who is your guy' crooner, he thought that featuring Davido and Mayorkun on the remix version of 'Funke' would boost his career, but when the song came out big, his career went down.

‎Speaking during a recent interview on HipTV, Spyro said: “I had a song back then, that I had Davido and Mayorkun on it. I actually thought that my life was about to change. The song came out big, and I went back down all of a sudden.

‎“I sat down and thought about it because how do I go from working with Davido, vibing with Mayorkun and all those guys, and all of a sudden, they no longer even pick your calls anymore

‎"I would just sit down on my staircase back then and cry. I had my parents at home that I needed to take care of, and a lot of things were just going wrong."
