Let’s Work Together To Develop The Nigeria We Desire— President Tinubu Says After Visit To Enugu
President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians from all walks of life to work in unison towards the development and growth of the country.
This is as the President asserted that all citizens in the country are members of one family held by a single umbilical cord, stressing that the unity will help build a prosperous future for the country.
President Tinubu said these following his official working visit to Enugu State on Saturday to commission some projects executed by Governor Peter Mbah of the state.
The Nigerian Voice reports that at the former Government Technical College, the President inaugurated 30 fully completed and equipped Enugu Smart Green Schools, part of a larger initiative involving 260 schools under construction across the State.
He also commissioned 90 urban roads at the New Haven Junction, marking a significant milestone in the state’s development efforts.
At the Independence Layout, President Tinubu inaugurated the newly completed Enugu International Conference Centre, a multi-auditorium facility designed to boost the state’s profile as a hub for international events.
The President rounded off the commissioning activities with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre, along with 150 patrol vehicles equipped with AI-enabled surveillance cameras, all aimed at strengthening security across the state.
Taking to his personal X handle on Sunday, President Tinubu vowed to complete the Eastern rail line, connecting Port Harcourt to Maiduguri, and to support the development of the Anambra Basin.
He said, “It was a special delight to visit Enugu state yesterday and inaugurate the laudable projects executed by the administration of Governor Peter Mbah.
“The visit was my first official call this year, and I thank the Enugu state government, the leaders, the people of Enugu, and the South East for the warm reception.
“I commend Governor Mbah for his remarkable leadership in the state. This leadership is evident in the burgeoning infrastructure, enhanced security measures, and improving access to education and healthcare by the citizens
“My administration is committed to completing the Eastern rail line, connecting Port Harcourt to Maiduguri, and will support the development of the Anambra Basin, which is considered rich in oil and gas resources.
“When we work together, we can build a prosperous future for our nation. We are members of one family held by a single umbilical cord; hence, we must work together to develop the Nigeria we desire.”
