Iga Swiatek, the three-time defending champ, stormed into the Qatar Open semis, overcoming a tough challenge from last year's finalist, Elena Rybakina. Swiatek won 6-2, 7-5, weathering a second-set comeback from Rybakina. With Rybakina and Pegula out, Swiatek's the last seed standing.

Meanwhile, Ekaterina Alexandrova's hot streak continues! Fresh off a Linz tournament win, she upset world number one Aryna Sabalenka and sixth-seed Jessica Pegula. Alexandrova beat Pegula 4-6, 6-1, 6-1, and will now face Amanda Anisimova for a spot in the final. Anisimova battled past Marta Kostyuk 4-6, 7-5, 6-4.

Swiatek's next opponent? Jelena Ostapenko, who cruised past Ons Jabeur 6-2, 6-2. Swiatek's ready for the challenge: "They have totally different game styles...I need to be prepared."
