Newcastle United Eye Move for Genk Striker Tolu Arokodare

Premier League side Newcastle United are reportedly considering a summer swoop for Nigerian forward, Tolu Arokodare, who currently plies his trade with Belgian Pro League outfit, KRC Genk.
Arokodare has been in blistering form for Genk this season, emerging as one of the standout performers in the league. The 24-year-old has notched up an impressive 20 goals and provided five assists in 38 appearances across all competitions under manager Thorsten Fink. His performances have not gone unnoticed, attracting interest from several top European clubs.
According to reports from Africa Foot, Newcastle United have already made contact with Genk over a potential deal for the striker. The Belgian club is expected to demand a fee of around €17 million to part ways with their talismanic frontman.
Arokodare’s market value has risen significantly following his consistent goal-scoring displays this season. He had earlier turned down a move to Turkish side Trabzonspor last summer, opting instead to remain with Genk to further develop his game.
Newcastle are in search of attacking reinforcements ahead of the next campaign and see Arokodare as a promising addition who could bolster their forward line. With Alexander Isak’s fitness concerns and Callum Wilson’s inconsistent form, the Magpies are keen on adding depth to their attack.
If the deal materializes, it would mark a significant step in Arokodare’s career, offering him a platform to showcase his talent in one of Europe’s most competitive leagues. For now, the Nigerian remains focused on helping Genk finish the season strongly.
